Results and decision making/policy process

Our results can be used for the assessment of ecological compensable injury, local planning, selection of optimal alternative in the process of Ecological Impact Assessment, effectiveness of subsidy provision and restoration measures in the landscape. Up to now only one part of our integrated model, Habitat Valuation Method (HVM), was applied in several studies for authorities of nature protection. At present the negotiation process with the Agency for Nature and Landscape Protection of the Czech Republic (CR) for the introduction of the biodiversity valuation using our HVM into the methodical tools for CR is finishing. The similar negotiation process for introducing our approach to assess the biodiversity status and endangerment by CZ Globio model and consequently to select valuable habitats for any form of protection or special management by the model Marxan has been started in this year.
